I would like to introduce you to an amazing woman who I don't just have the pleasure of knowing, but I also had the pleasure of photographing. Meet Lizane van Aarde, owner of Woman of Worth Image Consulting (www.wowimageconsulting.co.za) Lizane doesn't just help you find colours and styles that suit you, she takes you on a journey of self-discovery where her goal is to help woman see themselves as God sees them, uniquely beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made. She doesn't refer to her company as "my business", but rather "my ministry". Every time I see her or speak to her, I walk away feeling fuller, as though my soul has been fed. She has such a beautiful calling on her life and she has helped transform so many women from the inside out. We got together two months ago to do a personal branding shoot for her.
I asked her " How do you envision your shoot?" she said I really want my true self depicted, soft, natural and strong. I must admit this shoot was very different, not so much in how it looks, but how it felt. For those of you who follow my work, you know that capturing someone's true reflection is my creative why when it comes to women portraiture. It's also somewhat of a spiritual journey for me and Lizane's session was so much deeper than just a photo shoot.
I do love the journey of creating the perfect session for each of my clients. An all-rounded experience where you're celebrated and pampered. This was definitely a personal branding shoot with a twist.
